Obituary of Lauren McElrath

Lauren McElrath, 27 of Avon Park, died July 16, 2020. Lauren was born in St. Louis, MO in June 1993.

Lauren wasn’t just a daughter or sister, she was also our best friend. She was the person we wanted to be with when we had a bad day. She was always trying to do something funny and make us laugh. Lauren was the type of person that when she went shopping she wanted to buy stuff for other people, not just herself. Lauren loved food and if she liked you she would share. She loved taking pictures and looking at photos and videos on her tablet. Lauren was a daughter, sister and friend to many. She was and is our Purple Butterfly.

Our family is grateful for the 27 years we had with her, grateful that she didn’t suffer, grateful she was loved by so many people, but most of all grateful she chose us as her family.

Lauren is at peace now, able to walk and talk, to laugh and smile.
